More than 20 years ago, Larry H. Miller set in motion a partnership with the NAACP Salt Lake Branch to provide an annual scholarship. Each year, the winner of the Larry H. Miller Education Scholarship is announced at the branch’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Memorial Luncheon. The $3,000 scholarship is funded by Larry H. Miller Charities and reflects the LHM Group’s commitment to supporting the community, building bridges, and enriching lives.
During this year’s luncheon on January 20, Dean Fitzpatrick, president of LHM Dealerships, and Jeanetta Williams, president of the NAACP Salt Lake Branch, announced Isabel Cossa as the 2020 scholarship recipient and presented her with an engraved silver bowl to commemorate the occasion.
Isabel is a senior at Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah, where she maintains a 4.0 grade point average. She plans on attending the University of Utah, where she will major in vocal performance and minor in computer science.
Joining Dean Fitzpatrick at the luncheon were employees and members of management from Vivint Smart Home Arena, the Utah Jazz, LHM Dealerships, Miller Management Corporation, and Total Care Auto Powered
