Valentine’s weekend was a busy one for Gail Miller in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was one of six dealers globally honored by Ford and Lincoln on February 14 at the 2020 National Automobile Dealers Association Convention and Expo as a recipient of their Salute to Dealers award. This recognition praises dealers with significant charitable impact in their communities.
“They are the face of Ford and Lincoln in communities around the world, and today we are happy to applaud their commitment and dedication to building stronger, healthier, more connected communities,” said Edsel B. Ford II, chair of the Salute to Dealers awards program and member of the Ford board of directors.
The applause from earlier that day came in the form of a standing ovation after Gail delivered her remarks during the J.D. Power Auto Summit. Her humble and inspiring message covered her journey of rising to the challenges and opportunities of business ownership after Larry passed. She took the strengths she developed in building a home and family—inventory management, conflict resolution, anger management—and applied them to her new role in continuing what Larry built. She credited Larry for teaching her everything he knew about business, and praised her children for helping her take that unique character Larry carried and forming a company culture defined by his reputation.
Gail continues to be a respected figure in the industry as she inspires our community-building efforts everywhere she goes.
