Employees from Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota Colorado Springs and Larry H. Miller Toyota Colorado Springs presented a check for $10,000 to Pikes Peak United Way on Tuesday, August 17 and $10,000 to Angels of America’s Fallen (AOAF) on Wednesday, August 18.
The $10,000 grant provided to Pikes Peak United Way will support its Family Success Center (FSC) programs and the Colorado Springs Promise Program. FSC provides basic needs services to programs focused on employment and mental health for the highest poverty community in the southeast area. Colorado Springs Promise works in school settings providing case management, social services and critical family resources that improve long-term housing and income stability.
The $10,000 donation in support of AOAF’s Children’s Activity Program will fund services for the children of fallen military and first responders. Year-round programs provide healthy engagement activities to ensure those children have the support and guidance needed to heal from their loss and provide mentorship and skill-building opportunities to excel and develop their sense of self-worth despite their loss.
