During the week of April 25-29, employees in seven western states volunteered in their communities during our annual Larry H. Miller Week of Service. Together, we completed 41 planned projects from trail maintenance, park clean up and landscaping to serving food, organizing donated items, and cleaning facilities. Employees who couldn’t participate in one of the planned events were encouraged to look for ways to demonstrate our values of stewardship, hard work, service, and integrity throughout the week. The impact we collectively had is immeasurable.
This annual event honors the legacy of Larry Miller and coincides with his birthday, April 26. Larry strongly supported giving back to the communities where he did business and lived by the philosophy to “Go about doing good until there is too much good in the world.”
This philosophy continues with Gail Miller who emphasizes the good we can accomplish together: ”I feel that it is very important to support the communities where we live, thrive, and conduct business. I am touched by the photos and stories shared from this year’s events. I am grateful for each of you who live our values daily and dedicate time to lifting our neighbors and improving our communities.”
