At the recent Gail Miller Women’s Leadership Group event, Gail Miller led a conversation with Kristin Andrus and Emily Bell McCormick focused on making the journey the destination.
The women discussed their involvement in taking the Period Project to the Utah State Legislature and the lessons they learned along the way. With private donations of $1 million each from the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation and the Andrus Foundation to purchase period product dispensers for Utah’s K-12 public and charter schools, lawmakers appropriated money to cover the cost of dispenser installation and period products.
These talented women also shared their passion for their families, service, advocacy, and self-improvement. Watch a recording of the broadcast here.
Co-Chairs Courtney Palmer and Heather Wybrow, along with their committee members Breann Johnson, Marie Di Federico, Shelley Goodell, Madison Kent, and Fleurette Israelsen, were recognized at the event for their exceptional work on behalf of the Gail Miller Women’s Leadership Group. They have empowered women within the organization and community to develop their talents as they’ve planned and hosted events and networking opportunities.
