ANNOUNCEMENTS—December 2020

 

November 16, 2020— LHM Subaru Boise announced their participation in the annual Subaru Share the Love Event with donations to Wild Hearts Idaho and Idaho Youth Ranch.

November 18, 2020 – The Utah Jazz announced that the team has acquired the 27th and 38th overall picks in the 2020 NBA Draft from the New York Knicks in exchange for the 23rd overall pick and the rights to Ante Tomić.

November 18, 2020 – The Utah Jazz selected center Udoka Azubuike (you-DOE-kuh az-uh-BOO-kee) from Kansas with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft that was held remotely from the ESPN facilities in Bristol, Conn.

November 23, 2020 – The Utah Jazz unveiled their new-look City Edition uniforms, which feature an evolution of the gradient theme from the franchise’s iconic original in a continued celebration of the natural wonders across the team’s home state.

November 24, 2020 – The 22nd annual “We Care – We Share” Thanksgiving Meal for local homeless and low-income individuals took place in a limited-contact environment. Meals were prepared and delivered to shelters and centers in the Salt Lake City area.

November 24, 2020 – The Utah Jazz announced that home games at Vivint Arena would be played with a limited number of fans when the NBA season began in December amid a series of enhanced health and safety measures implemented throughout the building in consultation with the Utah Department of Health.

November 30, 2020— The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies announced a weeklong food and toy drive in support of the Utah Food Bank and Marine Corps Toys for Tots to benefit Utah families during the holiday season.

December 1, 2020 – Private Company Director’s Magazine named three of the Larry H. Miller Group’s board members (Beryl Raff, Mary Lee Schneider, and Lee Bird) to their annual “Directors to Watch” list.

December 4, 2020Automotive News released its rankings for “Best Dealerships to Work For,” and Larry H. Miller Hyundai Peoria was ranked #1 in the Large Dealerships category, and #2 overall – out of 100 dealerships nationwide. This was their second year being named to the list. Larry H. Miller Ford Draper was ranked #5 in the Large Dealerships category, and #38 overall.

December 7, 2020— As part of the Driven to Celebrate food and donation drive, Gail Miller and the Miller family announced a $100,000 donation match for the Utah Food Bank. At the same time, they extended the food and donation drive for a few more days, through December 11.

December 9, 2020 – Major League Baseball’s The Los Angeles Angels announced that the Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A) has been invited to join the Club’s player development pipeline. The SL Bees has been the Angels Triple-A affiliate since 2001.

December 19, 2020— Larry H. Miller Dealerships in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona announced the seventh annual “10 Days of Giving” Campaign. Together, the dealerships made multiple $10,000 donations to various charities in both cities.

December 14, 2020— Larry H. Miller Dealerships announced that they had serviced their 20 millionth vehicle. They reached the milestone on December 8 at 4:52 p.m., when customer Rodrigo Leon of West Jordan, Utah, brought his 2017 Dodge Charger in for an oil and filter change at Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Sandy.

December 17, 2020—LHM Dealership employees in Arizona spent time packing “bags of hope” for children in the Phoenix area. They also presented a $10,000 donation to the “Bags of Hope” program, which is run by Kitchen on the Street. The donation was part of the “10 Days of Giving” campaign.

December 18, 2020—Gail Miller and the Miller family finalized the sale of the Utah Jazz and Vivint Arena to Ryan Smith, Qualtrics founder and tech entrepreneur. The Millers will retain a minority stake in the team.
