December 7, 2020 – Three members of the Larry H. Miller Group’s Board of Directors, Mary Lee Schneider, Lee Bird and Beryl Raff, were featured in Private Company Director’s Magazine as “Directors to Watch.”

December 18, 2020—Gail Miller and the Miller family finalized the sale of the Utah Jazz and Vivint Arena to Ryan Smith, Qualtrics founder and tech entrepreneur. The Millers will retain a minority stake in the team.

December 20, 2020 – Gail Miller was honored with the Resilient Utah Shield Award by KUTV Channel 2 during their Hope for the Holidays special which aired on December 20, 2020. The award was presented on-air to select individuals from Utah who have set extraordinary examples of building resilience and spreading hope in their communities and throughout the world.

December 28, 2020 – Utah’s Megaplex Theatres scored two separate number one rankings for the biggest movies opening Christmas week.  Megaplex Theatres at The District in South Jordan ranked first in North America for the opening of Wonder Woman 1984 while Megaplex Theatres at Jordan Commons in Sandy ranked first for the opening of the Tom Hanks’ western drama News of the World.  Other top-ten box office sales for WW84 included Megaplex Theatres at Jordan Commons in Sandy finished 4th in the nation with Megaplex Theatres at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi ranking 6th, and Megaplex Theatres at Geneva in Vineyard finished 10th.

January 4, 2021— The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies announced the acquisition of Advanced Health Care Corporation (AHC), one of the largest pure-play post-acute transitional care providers in the country. AHC operates in many western states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. 

January 11, 2021 – Scott Garrard of The Zone Sports Network, a veteran of more than 20 years on the Utah radio airwaves and co-host of the Hans & Scotty G show, has been named the 2020 Utah Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association (NSMA). Garrard is a first-time honoree by the NSMA, whose members elect each state’s top sportscaster and sportswriter dating back to 1959.
