November 6, 2019: The Utah Jazz teamed up with Chick-fil-A and Will Dance for Kids Project to combat childhood hunger through a peanut butter donation drive at the Jazz vs. Philadelphia 76ers game.

November 8–9, 2019: The Utah Jazz commemorated Hoops for Troops week at the Jazz vs. Milwaukee game Friday, Nov. 8, and at a community event with Jazz players and military members on Saturday.

November 18, 2019: After a Pleasant Grove, Utah, high school student was the victim of bullying, vandalism, and racism, Jazz players Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert tried to make things right. They exchanged text messages and offered him support, and the high school senior later sat courtside to watch Mitchell and Gobert take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

November 23, 2019: The Zyia Active Utah Jazz Dancers hosted a charity dance clinic at Vivint Smart Home Arena. Admission to the clinic was free with a canned food item, and cans were donated to the Utah Food Bank. Members of the Jazz Dancers provided instruction to boys and girls, ages 7-18.

November 25, 2019: The 21st annual We Care – We Share Thanksgiving Meal was held at Vivint Smart Home Arena where the Miller family and LHM Sports & Entertainment employees served food to local homeless and low-income individuals.

November 25, 2019: LHM Subaru Boise announced its participation in the 2019 Subaru Share the Love event, which ran through January 2, 2020. Subaru dealerships selected charities operating in their community to be included on a list of organizations that new owners and lessees could choose to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America, Inc.

December 4, 2019: Jonathan Rinehart was named managing director of Jazz Gaming. Rinehart, a 15-year veteran of LHMSE, will now oversee the day-to-day and strategic planning for Jazz Gaming as the team enters its third campaign in the NBA 2K League. He will continue to serve as the president of the Salt Lake City Stars and executive director of the Salt Lake City Summer League. His colleague Josh Barney has been named director of information technology for Jazz Gaming.

December 5, 2019: dōTERRA announced a partnership with LHMSE to emphasize community-based events and support women’s empowerment activities. This will include stage sponsorship in the LHM Tour of Utah, sponsorship of the Utah Jazz’s annual spring seminar for female high school students, and involvement in other activities as well.

December 26, 2019: A new Megaplex Theatres location was announced for Idaho Falls, Idaho. Plans for the new theatre complex are forthcoming, and a groundbreaking is planned to take place in spring 2020. This will be the first Megaplex facility in Idaho.

December 12, 2019: Jazz center Rudy Gobert and his Rudy’s Kids Foundation hosted a holiday party on December 12 at the Zions Bank Basketball Campus for 25 youth from Family Promise and provided winter clothing and gifts. Gobert also purchased and donated winter clothes to benefit Neighborhood House in Salt Lake City earlier in the month.

December 12, 2019: General Counsel and Corporate Secretary Robert Tingey announced his retirement to occur in early 2020 after more than three decades of combined experience as outside counsel and general counsel for the Larry H. Miller Group. Sarah Starkey, who served as general counsel and vice president of LHM Dealerships, was promoted to chief legal officer of Miller Management Corporation and corporate secretary for the LHM Board of Directors, and she assumed that position January 1, 2020.

December 22, 2019: The Salt Lake City Stars won the 2019 MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase tournament at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center after defeating the Grand Rapids Drive 91-88 in overtime. With the victory, which marked the club’s 13th consecutive win, the Stars were awarded a $100,000 prize for the NBA G League players on their team.

January 21, 2019: Gail Miller and the Miller family made a historic $50 million donation to Primary Children’s Hospital in Utah. This is the largest single donation ever made by the family and is aimed at helping to build programs, projects, and facilities for children throughout the western United States.
