August 21, 2020 – Jazz Gaming advanced to the NBA 2K League semifinals following a 2-0 series sweep of Blazer5 Gaming (Portland Trail Blazers affiliate).
August 22, 2020 – Jazz Gaming Head Coach Jelani “Comp” Mitchell was named the NBA 2K League Coach of the Year. In his second season with Jazz Gaming, “Comp” guided the team to a 14-2 (.875) regular season record, its best in franchise history, and earned the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. “Comp” was selected in a vote by players, coaches, team managers and media.
August 22, 2020 – The 2020 Jazz Gaming Playoffs presented by America First Credit Union concluded with a series loss to Warriors Gaming Squad (Golden State Warriors affiliate) in the semifinal round.
The semifinals defeat completed the most successful campaign in Jazz Gaming franchise history, which featured a 14-2 (.875) regular season record, a final four finish in the NBA 2K League Playoffs and two final four appearances in the league’s in-season tournaments.
August 26, 2020) – The Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union completed the Pass It Along program for the 2019-20 season with a $5,000 donation to Friends of Giant Steps. The program concluded its seventh year of donating $25,000 each season to fan-nominated charitable organizations ($5,000 each to five separate agencies). Since its inception in 2013, Pass It Along has contributed $180,000 to local nonprofits.
August 28, 2020 –LHM Sports & Entertainment and the Salt Lake County Clerk’s office announced that Vivint Arena and three Megaplex Theatres would serve as polling stations for U.S.A.’s general election on November 3 as an alternative for people unable to vote by mail. Polling locations will be at Vivint Arena in downtown Salt Lake City, Megaplex Luxury Theatres at Cottonwood in Holladay, Megaplex Theatres at The District in South Jordan, and Megaplex Theatres at Jordan Commons in Sandy.

August 28, 2020 – Utah Jazz Gaming center Spencer “Ria” Wyman was named to the All-NBA 2K League First Team and All-NBA 2K League Defensive Team, and guard Kimanni “Splashy” Ingram earned All-NBA 2K League Rookie Team honors.
