Utah Foundation held its annual luncheon in conjunction with its 75th Anniversary Celebration on September 17, 2020. As part of the celebration, Gail Miller was presented with the organization’s 2020 Insight Award. Utah Foundation’s mission is to produce objective, thorough and well-reasoned research and analysis that promotes the effective use of public resources, a thriving economy, a well-prepared workforce, and a high quality of life for Utahns.
Gail was honored for her support for the Utah Foundation as well as her contributions to the business community and philanthropic causes in Utah and throughout the West. Gail, who appeared via Zoom, expressed her appreciation for the Foundation and being selected to receive the award. Amanda Covington, Chief Communications and Government Relations Officer (MMC) accepted the award on Gail’s behalf.
The luncheon also featured a keynote address from Elfoa Ojoma, leader of the Global Prosperity research group at the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation, as well as a dialogue with Spencer Cox and Chris Peterson, Utah’s Gubernatorial candidates in the upcoming election. They shared their views on Utah’s top priorities for the coming years.
