The only theatre complex to top Megaplex for the Raya opening was located on Disney property in Orlando, Florida, and charges higher prices for admission.

“These remarkable results reflect Utah’s growing optimism with the vaccine progress and confirm that guests are excited to experience the magic of movies on the big screens at Megaplex Theatres,” said Blake Andersen, Megaplex Theatres president. “The rankings are especially impressive since we continue to require masks, limit capacity, and follow the CinemaSafe protocols outlined by the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO).”
Currently, five Megaplex Theatres locations are hosting temporary Covid-19 vaccination clinics in partnership with Nomi Health and local officials. The Megaplex vaccination locations include:
- Megaplex Theatres at Legacy Crossing in Centerville
- Megaplex Theatres at Valley Fair in West Valley City
- Megaplex Theatres at The District in South Jordan
- Megaplex Theatres at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi

Megaplex Theatres was recently recognized as one of the film industry’s “Giants of Exhibition” by Box Office Magazine. The Hollywood publication ranks the theatre operators by screen count and influence in the marketplace.
“The Megaplex team takes our responsibility as leaders in the exhibition community very seriously,” said Andersen. “As part of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, we hold firm to our founding principles of integrity, hard work, stewardship, and service in our day-to-day operations with the hope that our approach will help establish best practices for an industry that provides a much needed benefit to individuals and families.”
