The Salt Lake Bees threw the first pitch of the 2022 season on April 5 in Tacoma and came back to Salt Lake City for their home opener on April 12. After snow caused a postponement of the first home game the Bees were back in action on April 13.
Following two weeks of play, the team is 7-5 and leads the Pacific Coast League in both pitching and hitting. The Bees celebrated Jackie Robinson Day on Friday, April 15 with the entire team wearing jerseys sporting the #42 and finished off the homestand with an Easter Sunday day game win 12-3 over the Las Vegas Aviators.
