In the Fall of 2021, Bryce Miller and a cohort of BYU graduate students worked with the digital marketing team at Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatres to conduct a series of focus groups. Their goal was to better understand the movie-going experience and the aspects that were unique and compelling for guests.
Based on the findings and recommendation of this grassroots student group, the digital team ultimately solicited proposals with several local agencies to produce Megaplex’s very first digital/tv advertisement. The thirty-second spot aired for the first time during the July Fourth holiday weekend and just in time for the release of Thor: Love and Thunder.
The advertisement was produced on location at Jordan Commons and features General Manager, Emily Nye, and her team. The piece not only highlights Megaplex’s “Secret Sauce” (i.e., team members) but gives movie fans plenty of reasons to “Just Go” to the theatre!
