Each year, we honor the birthday of our founder, Larry H. Miller, by giving back to the communities where we live and do business. He was dedicated to service and lived by the philosophy to “go about doing good until there’s too much good in the world.”
Traditionally, we have dedicated one day to organized service projects. However, in an effort to expand the good we can do, the event was extended into a Week of Service – and this expansion to a week of service activities will continue going forward.
Each portfolio company participated in projects in their communities. Many of the projects were dedicated to enhancing our environment as a way to commemorate Earth Day (formally recognized April 20-22). Individuals who were unable to join the organized team projects, found ways to serve another individual, family member or group that week.
