Giant checks and blankets and coats, oh my! Following a year of incredible service, our season of giving wrapped 2019 up in a giant velvety bow of impressive generosity. LHM Group employees in every state report that the warm feelings and glowing cheer they experienced as they enriched lives in their communities during the holiday season will be enough to last till next season. But we all know that no one in the LHM Group will wait that long to start up the giving again—there’s just a little bit too much good left to do in the world.
Many of the donations given out each year come from the Give Us 5 program, where funds from employees are used to benefit worthy causes in the communities where the donations came from.
A lot of the people we impacted this year may not ever know who was responsible, but the reward is not in public acknowledgement and recognition—it lies in knowing that we’ve been able to enrich lives.
And this is only a small taste of all the good now in the world thanks to you.
This was a donation made in December to Utah Valley University Women’s Success Center. Money came from LHM Charities, but employees at the dealership selected this charity. Mercedes Benz of Draper GM and employees are presenting this donations. One photo is on the sales floor and one in the service department. Funding will support scholarships, mentoring, success coaching, and leadership development. Funds will specifically be used to remove financial barriers for under-resourced first generation students, which is a specific focus for the Women’s Success Center.This was a Sub for Santa donation to the Ogden School District to assist needy students at Christmas. Megaplex Theatres assisted in presenting it. I think the donation was made in November.Our Albuquerque employees presented donations to two local charities yesterday as part of their Holiday Giving. The New Mexico School f/t Blind and Visually Impaired (NMSBVI) received ,700 to use to upgrade to new iPads for children to better access their learning and teach concepts with unique adaptability and accessibility.
The New Mexico Dream Center received ,500 to use towards the Winter Supply Program, which will provide essentials to homeless teens during the cold winter months, including sleeping bags, backpacks, coats, blankets, shoes, hygiene items and more.photos of a ,000 donation from LHM Charities being presented to Little Lambs Foundation for Kids for comfort kits provided to children entering foster care. For 89 years, the DSCS has reached out to serve those in need during the holiday season by providing toys, books and other holiday gifts for children aged newborn through 11 years old.
Their mission is to give a toy to every girl and boy who needs one.
