The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation Sponsors Utah Honor Flight

The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation sponsored a recent Utah Honor Flight that flew 68 Veterans of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War to Washington, D.C. This flight included their 2,000th Veteran from Utah since the program started.

Gail Miller signed a letter for each Veteran to read on the flight. Carisa Miller and Morgan Scott represented the Miller Family Foundation on the trip.

“The Utah Honor Flight was a memorable and moving experience. It was an honor to be with the Veterans while they visited memorial sites in our nation’s capital. Our family recognizes the sacrifice each Veteran has made for our country,” said Carisa Miller, a trustee of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation.

While in Washington, D.C., the Veterans visited memorials and met with multiple government officials. Many Veterans have called the Honor Flight ‘a trip of a lifetime.’

“Carisa and Morgan were genuinely invested in our Veterans and jumped in feet first at the sendoff – I thought they were part of our volunteer staff at first. They helped with wheelchairs, handed out meals and spoke with our Veterans,” said Stephanie Harmon, chairman of the Utah Honor Flight.

The Veterans were welcomed home with a celebration at the Salt Lake International Airport.
