Our annual Who We Are event marked the 42nd anniversary of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies and was a celebration of you, our values, culture, and everything great about being part of the LHM Group.
Since the company’s founding in 1979, we have been driven – driven by vision, driven by our values, driven by innovation, and, of course, driven by you. But at the heart of the LHM Group, we are driven by love—and this year, the presentation focused on what it means to be Driven By Heart.

Celebrating Our Values
To begin the event, Steve Miller invited all to join in celebrating the values and culture of the LHM Group, and to remember that the experiences of the past year make us stronger and more united as employees and help us forge a rich, vibrant culture.
Greg Miller presented this year’s Page One Column One Award, which recognizes a dealership for total success. It requires the united efforts of every employee in every department. The award reflects excellence in all areas and represents dedication to living our company values as well as taking care of our customers and employees. This year’s winner was the team at Larry H. Miller American Toyota Albuquerque led by GM Hud Romero.
Karen Williams and Brilliant Miller presented the Larry H. & Gail Miller Values Awards, which recognize individuals who exemplify our core values of Integrity, Hard Work, Stewardship, and Service that have guided the Group of Companies for more than 40 years. Portfolio leadership from across the LHM Group invited managers and supervisors to nominate individuals for the award.

Learning From Our Leaders
Steve Starks spoke about the importance of resilience and working collaboratively as an organization and as a community, especially during hard times. He said, “While 2020 has taught us that change is the only constant and that we may not be able to foresee what lies ahead, we can take comfort that our collective group, you and I, will be able to rise to the occasion when we are confronted with obstacles and challenges. Because we just proved that we can.”
Who We Are was also the stage that Steve used to introduce a video created to start a dialogue around mental and emotional wellbeing and the important role each of us can play.
Gail Miller expressed her gratitude to all employees for their commitment to living our values and leading with love. She shared what Driven By Heart means to her and encouraged us to support one another. She said, “Driven By Heart is about connecting with the hearts of the people you interact with and then working to better understand each other. Driven By Heart means knowing and caring about what inspires and empowers people. It’s about caring enough to know what is important to them and helping them feel valued and significant. It’s about helping them succeed.”
